Marriage & Family THerapy Supervision

Looking for Supervision as an LAMFT?

If you are looking to expand your knowledge of systemic therapy as you work toward your license, we are glad you are here. We (Stephanie and Elizabeth) are both Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists with over 10 years of clinical experience. Our areas of expertise are in treating trauma and complex relationship issues.

The systems model of therapy is a transformative approach which honors all the systems that influence an individual. We are drawn to this model because it is a very non-pathologizing human centered approach that looks at individuals in context of their story and everything that has influenced both their strengths and areas of struggle.

The beauty of this model is that it reduces shame and honors the complexity of the human experience. We are passionate about supporting therapists on their path to licensure and would love to hear from you.

Stephanie Godwin,MA,LMFT

Owner/ Supervisor/ Certified EMDR Therapist

Getting into the field of therapy is challenging and often therapists are over worked and under supported in the early stages. I welcome the opportunity to provide a warm environment where therapists can ask questions and navigate the complexities of our field.

In addition to being trained as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I am also a Certified EMDR Therapist and consultant through EMDRIA. As a trauma therapist I have a robust understanding of how systems affect individuals and family systems. It is one of my professional passions to offer support to those looking to deepen their knowledge in trauma informed care and navigating challenging relationships.

Elizabeth Scudder, MS, LMFT

Owner/ Supervisor/ Couples Therapist

It is a passion of mine to help new clinicians grow into confident, competent and specialized therapists. Throughout my experience in the field, it has become increasingly more important to me to give back in this way.

I specialize in couples therapy, specifically Relational Life Therapy, and also have experience with the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Even when only one partner is seeking therapy, the work still lies in tackling their complex relational issues. My goal is to help therapists work with clients' complex issues and experiences that make their current relationship with themselves and others challenging. Through a systemic lens we explore the parts of them that have been entrenched in the dysfunction and trauma of their families of origin, previous relationships and the dynamics of their primary relationship. It is my aim to provide the trusting supervisory relationship necessary for new clinicians to deepen and hone their skills.
